The Head of State signed the Building Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 9, 2026.
The work on the draft Code was carried out for almost 3 years, including 2 years in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The head of Archipelago LLP, Yerlan Sakipov, also took an active part in the working group as an expert and an active participant in the SRO RSPK.
As a result of fruitful work together with developers, parliamentarians, NCE Atameken and other industry associations representing the design and construction industry in the country, the text of the draft Code has been significantly revised, entire sections not related to industry issues have been eliminated, individual Chapters and articles have been finalized and revised, new terms have been introduced into the conceptual framework, deeper disclosures have been made. individual areas of activity.
Not all of our amendments and proposals have been defended, and many professionals have a critical attitude towards the resulting product. I think, with proper consolidation, it will be possible to refine it in the future.
We all have until July 1 of this year, when the Building Code will come into force, to prepare for work in the new conditions. And it is necessary to understand that there is still a lot of work to be done to introduce additional amendments to it, which were not included due to objective circumstances, but are relevant taking into account modern and promising requirements of the construction market.
